Because it's NOT realistic?

Most fandom porn is pretty unrealistic. I'm all for writing condoms in porn, but it's pretty idiotic to try and use "realism" as the reason for it when most gay smut in fandom isn't all that realistic, largely due to logistics and anatomy fail.

Well yeah, but if it's like logistics and anatomy fail, then it's probably unintentional, so that's not an argument against realism either. Realism is intentional, mistakes aren't, you can hardly blame a bunch of girls for unrealistic gay porn if they don't mean it to turn out that way. Most of them at least try to research and know what they're doing.

It's a fandom-wide thing, though, not just "a bunch of girls". i.e. people writing a male character feeling their partner come when that's actually impossible because people can't feel anything in their rectum past the first inch or so. I'm pretty sure even the Slash Minotaur mentioned this as one of those things that's drastically incorrect but so pervasive there's no point in trying to correct it. (Or one of the popular fandom gay sex guides, anyway). That's what I mean when I said pseudo-realism.

*snort* People do that with female characters, too. I'd hate to imagine the logistics of an ejaculation that could be easily felt.
