The educated usually do examine them because education naturally inclines people to examine things they've been taught. Some of the most intelligent people I know will fully admit that the things they believe in may be, in anon's words, imaginary. And they accept it, because "real" in the scientific sense or not, their belief makes their lives better and makes them better people.

And since these people aren't the ones telling anyone else that they need to live by the same beliefs or burn in hell, I don't find anything stupid or wrong with them.

The highly educated, sure. Most of the educated people in my day to day life haven't. A lot of the times when I draw their attention to basic contradictions or logical fallacies they seem really thrown. But I really agree with your second point. I don't care what silly irrational things people choose to believe until they decide those beliefs have anything to do with me an my life.

You are probably doing this is a really Reddit Atheist manner

HEY DUDE HAVE I TOLD YOU HOW STUPID YOU ARE YOUR GOD IS STUPID

HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING

STOP, TURN AROUND, AND ACKNOWLEDGE HOW MUCH SMARTER I AM THAN YOU THEISTS

Nope, sorry. I don't even identify as atheist anyway. Just curious.
