I hear you, anon. There are some video games from the 1980s that still freak me out. One's youth can be formative in ways that just can't be undone easily.

It's okay, I still kinda freak out whenever I watch Jurassic Park and get to the kitchen scene.

I don't blame you, I've never understood the Vocaloid fandom's fixation on making songs about creepy and disturbing shit.

Maybe because Vocaloids have creepy inhuman voices that perfectly fit creepy disturbing voices? I don't care about vocaloid love songs, but Circle Me, Circle You was one of the first vocaloid songs that I heard and go it. It just worked.

Circle You, Circle You is legitimately really creepy! It didn't affect me quite so strongly, but I can totally understand why you'd be freaked out by it.

there is only one way

the only cure I've found for stuff like this is to find a parody or a very good mocking of whatever it is that scared you

for example, when I was around nine years old, my brother and me got a PlayStation and it came with a CD full of trailers and demos for various games, and this Parasite Eve trailer in it haunted me for years and years after first watching it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPyR9qgcdAU

it got so bad, that when the American Godzilla movie came out, the part with the T-Rex in the museum had me shaking because I kept expecting it to come to life

but then last year I found this funny let's play:

http://lparchive.org/Parasite-Eve-%28by-Crowetron%29/

and bit by bit, all my past fears were healed c:

now I can even watch the trailer again and appreciate the cool music and all!

I know that feel. :/ What's worse for me is that I actually learned that song as a child, and we often played it as a game at recess, so hearing th creepy version was... Intriguing.

Damn you for making me feel old.

But I totally also would have been wigged out by that song. Had I also been a chillun.

It's okay for serious, it's supposed to be a creepy song, if a little melodramatic.
