Times to art

(Anonymous) 2013-02-17 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a specific time during the day when you let flow your creative juices? Or maybe you feel like you do better during a certain time of day? Do you ever have those inspired moments during exams/pressured times (yeah, we all get that feeling) and start writing during that time, against all reason?

For me, I find writing before sunrise, just after I've had a cup of tea to be best. I usually begrudge getting up for work because I don't want to stop writing once I've started during early morning.

I seem to get more writing done in the middle of the night, sometime after 3am. This probably contributes to my tendency to become horribly nocturnal (though my procrastination habits are also to blame).

Definitely early morning.

I write more when I have other work to prioritise. For drawing, I prefer the witching hours where I'm sitting in the dark with my tablet like a hermit (although traditional practice stuff, not necessarily creative, gets done in the afternoon usually).

Afternoon like around 3pm, I guess I need sun exposure and that vitamin D to get going

Either that or late at night like from 12am - 4am in the morning

Nightime anon, or mid afternoon to nightime on days off. I tend not to do much on long work days
