well, bras where I live must be done terribly wrong, then, since going by the information on the second link I should be a 30DD and there's no 30 where I live, and a 34 is constricting orz

Bras are done terribly wrong almost everywhere. Stores don't stock the wide variety of sizes people need.

Larger band sizes can feel constricting if the cups are too small. The band should be a little snug though because that's where the support is suppose to come from. I'd look around for a 32D to try on if I were you.

Bras can get pretty complicated. Sizing isn't always the same in the same brand let alone different brands. Bands can be tighter or looser. But as long as your comfortable and feel like your being supported without the back of the band riding up your probably okay. It just wouldn't surprised me if the woman if the photo needed a 28D. If your really interested I'm could give you a bunch of links about bra fitting.

If she's not, I am. I've tried 'sizing calculators' and get anything from 28-34 band and d-dd-e cups, none of which I can ever find - 36DDs come the closest, but I have to fit them on the tightest hook, which you're not supposed to do because the material will stretch over time, and sure enough, I'm falling out of the bottom of the underwire after two months. Hate.

Bratabase.com is a whole community dedicated to finding the right bra fit and buying bras online. Since it is pretty hard to find a lot of sizes in stores. Nordstrom's has a pretty good variety of sizes. Unfortunately these get pricey. If you have a Nordstrom's Rack around that's usually a pretty good option. I found bras in my size there for $30. Figleaves.com has sales and some lower prices. And Asos.com has free shipping and returns if you want to try a couple different sizes.

it was only a problem because my boobs suddenly got bigger (I knew that it's normal if you still grow taller/fuller etc. even in your twenties, but this was almost overnight!), but I thankfully found something that worked for me now

I only really commented because in the second link you posted was the information on how to find your measures, and I found it curious how my "real" measures didn't match the ones of my bra

A clerk in a speciality store once told me that the band was riding up because the straps were too loose. I mean, if I can't even go to a store to get properly fitted, that says pretty horrible things.

I feel like bra sizing is something that should just be explained in health class so everyone knows what they're looking for when they go bra shopping.

I was about to say basically this. As someone's who a (properly fitted) AA cup, I couldn't look like the woman in the picture without a good couple inches of bra padding. My guess would have been C, but D or DD if her band size is down in the sub-30s. AAs, for all intents and purposes, basically look like they don't have tits without a little 'help'... >>
