I'm almost the same. Like, I'd get the ridiculously juvenile urge to tell Internet Strangers that their ship suuuuuucks, but I think it's because eva was one of my first fandoms back when I was a pretentious dick bomba.

I kinda like the idea of it now though, and actually ship it within Campus Apocalypse and Detective Diary verse (mostly CA though, because Kaworu is for fucking finally my bicycle in that one).
