Actually, the community does get to dictate how people behave when they're a part of said community. That sort of collective agreement on acceptable social forms is kind of the basis of society and culture.

The problem with people like you is you think that the fact that the internet renders you anonymous means that you have the right to act like complete shits and break every norm and more in the book. In truth, it just makes it easier; it doesn't make it okay, and it doesn't mean that people can't strive to cordon you off and prevent you from poisoning their spaces.

Spoken like someone who only read one of the comments I posted. Geesh. I don't do that shit. I do not hate-watch, nor do I stalk fans into their safe spaces to bother them about minute details their pet shows got wrong. I just said that policing other fans about what they can and cannot say is largely a waste of time because you can't enforce any of these mandates. The end.
