Yes. Most American comic art is so fugly; it's why I prefer manga, well, some manga anyway. The art is sometimes much, much prettier.

The whole thing is boggling b/c the whole point of David Aja's Hawkeye is that it doesn't look like anything else in mainstream comics. So "this is ugly because it looks like every Western comic" is bonus idiocy.

i honestly can't believe anybody doesn't think that is ugly. i can't say whether it's artistically relevant to the story (which can totally change the way something appears), but just looking at it out of context, it's hideous. but oh well, to each their own. i'm quite cozy with the unpopular opinion holder bench, anyway.
