From my experience at least getting up and taking a shower actually is an automatic mood booster. It's like "hey, I'm getting something done! I'm taking care of myself! I'm (sort of) establishing a reliable routine! Now I feel more prepared!"

It helps to fight off that awful fuzzy, lethargic, sort of blank feeling you get from sitting around the house all day doing a whole lot of nothin'. Which to me is a big danger these days, even though I'm starting to care a lot more about grades and love the activities I'm doing/friends I have. I can still go for days if I let myself just sort of shuffling around, eating when I need to, sleeping too much, and purposefully not thinking about all the things I have to do. And when I don't shower for a couple days it just contributes to that.

Don't know if this will help or not - just my two pennies. But I hope you're able to get to a better place soon. ♥
