Maybe more of a fandomsecret but whatever

A few months ago I linked a fic to my fandom's tiny anon meme and said it was pretty ok, but that one of the lines in it made me giggle unintentionally. Flash forward, turns out I've made friends with the guy and on his tumblr this morning he was saying how sad it made him when he found out someone 'trashed' his work.

I really want to apologize, but also I've had my work trashed way worse on a different anon meme before and it made me want to get better, not get defensive, and now I'm decently popular and I feel like I've improved a lot, even though the experience hurt.

But I still feel like kind of a bad person for thinking he should learn to grow a thicker skin.
