Value your sanity and keep it that way. I can't speak for her Merry Gentry books having never read them, but the Anita Blake books had so much potential for the first five of them (and this is probably me being very lenient because I like fairies), stayed palatable through maybe the ninth one and then just swan dived off the point of no return. They're good for a laugh if you like to read bad porn though.

Plus the author herself is kind of a bitch, if how she treats her detractors is any indication. She reminds me of those young fanfic authors who cries to anyone who'll listen that waaaaaah someone didn't like my story.
