.... I don't understand this. What's to be embarrassed about?

The USA Network website is notoriously hard to use (especially the video section). Now that shows are starting "official" tumblrs, it is so obvious that some fans are able to promote the show better than the network.

My problem isn't with the official website persay, but the message boards on the official site. Whenever I go to any official boards, I usually feel a twinge of second hand embarrassment. The repetitive, large and ugly banners at the bottom of each post don't help either.

Yeah, I can agree. Official sites can be really weird. Like, they're trying to be as good as the really good fan-made sites? But it comes across like... like they don't even know their own show as well as the fans do? Which is weird, because the creators, if anyone, should know it better than the fans, but official sites NEVER come across that way.

It's always like some newbie who just figured out HTML and is like "LOOK GUYS, SEE, I CAN DO A WEBSITE TOO! SEE, SEE??? WHY AREn"T YOU VISITING MY WEBBLOG TOO?!?"

I don't get what's so bad about interacting with the creators either.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-20 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
You do realize you get the canon from the creators, right?

(Anonymous) 2013-02-20 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I get this.
omens: Jessica Pearson is amazing. (SUITS - Jessica (best))

HUH. Yeah, I can't really articulate my problem, but I haven't watched the Suits content on their website either, and there are a lot of funny vidlets, I did see one of them... idk, it's kind of mottsy, though... and I can't really say why! I'm with you, OP. And similarly boggled.

I feel you, though purely on the basis that I get embarrassed over the weirdest stuff as well. It might be completely illogical, yet it happens.

If I have a crush on a celebrity, I find it really hard to google him or her.

+1 for the celeb crush thing. Sometimes even those huge, HD pictures where you can see every little detail embarrass me too.
