No one's saying they doubt your particular diagnosis, whatever it might be (no maturity? over-identifying with Bella? special snowflake-ism? too much time with the Tumblr? Who knows), just that people online lie. Your insistence that pointing out that lies exist is damaging to people who over-share with truth is really ill-thought out.

Over-sharers and liars both suck, and it's perfectly valid to not want to deal with either. Fandom isn't therapy, and people who try to use it as such are taking their own risks with the collective that they've decided to use as their therapist.

Okay, I'm only going to re-explain this once and I'm sorry I got overwrought last night. I should have just stuck to my original comment, which was that a couple (by no means all) commenters were jumping to the conclusion that OP was talking about people who did not actually have legitimate problems. Not leaving the possibility open. Assuming that was the case. So my negative comments were aimed at that assumption and it got tangled up in the idea that I was objecting to everything said by everybody on the thread, which was not what I intended to express.

Sorry I took it too far.

I wrote up some more comments here, but ehhhh. Whatever. They were mostly there to make me feel superior. The only bit that might actually be relevant is that anon-commenting is easy and would have saved you the notes that everyone just made about your username.

I'm anon because I don't have a dreamwidth account. Yes, actually. Those friends of mine that constantly claim to have panic disorders, *know* I'm skeptical of said disorders' validity. I don't keep my thoughts and feelings from the people I consider friends. Also, I never said they were "fakers". ~You~ used that word. What I typed was: "Well... I've NEVER seen any of them have one." Again, reading comprehension Bella, READING COMPREHENSION.

No, but "panic attack" is one of those terms that's dangerously close to losing its meaning from overuse and incorrect use. There's a pretty damn big difference between a legitimate panic attack and having anxiety, and the internet has a nasty habit of calling any episode of anxiety a panic attack.
