And I agree with "THIS THIS THIS" anon; societal changes are probably more difficult to deal with. Computers and cellphones are just a matter pf pushing buttons, etc. Changing the way you view people and their relations with each other--THAT'S a big deal.

While things might be a bit confusing for him at first, understandably, he'd probably catch on very, very fast. The guy was friends with Howard Stark at the height of WWII - if it's one thing he'll be used to, it's learning how to use new and strange technology on the fly.
Even the societal changes will start to have an understandable pattern to them after a while, especially once he's caught up on his history.
