Yeah me too. I always make a point of taking the stairs and walking when I can. But...that's about it. I don't have any easily accessible exercise facility and when the weather is like it is right now in the Midwest my motivation to go outside is, on a scale of one to ten, about negative twelve.

When it's warm I like going for walks, but I wish I'd do it more. And I really hate strenuous exercise. It makes my body feel bad in the short run...good in the long run, but unfortunately I'm an "instant gratification" person (this is why I have such a hard time studying too) and it just...yeah. Also I think exercising is generally really boring and I hate being bored.

Oh god yes I agree on the whole exercising is generally boring thing. I used to go walking on trails in a park with a friend, and that was fun, because we'd be conversing and otherwise not focused on the exercise portion of it, and it was a nature type path so it was at least interesting. But most other exercising? Boring. The human equivalent of a hamster wheel.

I even got an exercise app that involves zombies... but I can't use it yet because it's too cold to go outside and actually walk/run/jog.

Needless to say, I ought to exercise a whole lot more than I actually do.

do you have an exercise bike? I think the zombie program works with bikes too

Yes, I love walking in nature! I wish every day when I went to exercise I could step outside onto some new path...rugged mountain, lush rain forest, vast savanna... *drools*

But even just walking in a plain ol' temperate forest is really fun and satisfying; I love being out in nature.

The Y where I used to work out sometimes with my mom has a few treadmills that display pictures of scenes from national parks as though you're taking a run through the park as you do the treadmill. It was pretty cool - not nearly the same thing as being outside but at least it was "ooh pretty pictures" and somewhat entertaining.

I love the hamster wheel analogy. So, so true. There's nothing for me to look at/do/think about, no brain stimulation at all, and all I can focus on is how much my body hurts. =/ I like taking walks with my dog or listening to music while I walk, but the music doesn't negate the awfulness of running.
