Yeah, that's pretty funny. My family has no running jokes because they are all horrendously and painfully un-fucking-funny.

I'm pretty sure fevers only exist on TV, I've never seen anyone react to it there they way people do in real life. Which is to say, they actually care.

Maybe my family's just a bunch of bastards.

Then again, ginger ale makes me puke. Whether I'm sick or not. So maybe that's why I'm cringing here. XD

Haha, makes sense I guess. I guess cause I avoid ginger ale at all costs I never stopped to consider it as a float. XD

My mom goes all out if she finds out I'm sick (why I usually hid it from her when I lived with her, I was probably one of the only kids to actively hide sickness from my parent). My dad'll basically toss some Dayquill at me and otherwise not bother much.

Your family might just be the type who will be happy to help you with anything you ask for, provided you actually ask for it first. (Running problem in my family - I'll do just about anything they ask, but they never ask me, so they always complain about me not doing anything around the house despite the fact on the rare occasions they do ask me to take care of something, I drop everything to go deal with it). Or maybe they're just not the affectionate-emotional types, who knows. It's amazing how often people think I'm emotionless because I tend not to express my feelings.
