I agree with pretty much all of that. I'd put Nog in Gryffindor, though. I like Garak in Ravenclaw- you'd expect Sytherin, but I think how little he tried to return from exile is a lack of the characteristic ambition. Garak's most useful tool is information.

Yeah, Nog in Gryffindor would be better, that's probably right.

Garak was tricky (a lot of characters were tricky, because DS9 is a good show with complicated characters) - but yeah, that was basically my thought process with Garak. You could make a case for putting him in Slytherin, certainly, or even Hufflepuff (given the tremendous importance that loyalty has for Cardassians in general, and I think for Garak). Such a great character.
