OP, that's okay. Filling in the blanks on characters is what makes people like them. Little things like that makes them feel more human. Fandom is also a social environment. People make friends bonding over characters they relate and project onto, and it helps us bond with fandom friends who have those traits in common with us. Sometimes I think fandom needs to relax about these strict IC 100% adherence to canon, it's okay to not worry about that so much. Fandom is for fun and socializing, not being pendants or feeling guilty that we're enjoying fandom wrong.
