2. I love well-done angst (or else I wouldn't be running un_happyendings [/self promotion]), but fluff is awesome too. It's just sometimes hard to find fluff that's not OOC or too silly to be sweet, which is the main reason I tend to stick to darker fair.

I'm assuming that your fandom is WK.

If it is...man, the fanon surrounding those characters (perhaps especially surrounding Ken, but I'm biased because he was also my favorite, so I read a lot more about him than any of the others) could eat a man alive. I mean, I stopped paying attention around the time Glühen came out, but up until that point I remember it being pretty insane.

And I do think that that was in no small way a result of people not wanting to watch the show (what with the animation and the awesomely ridiculous plotlines) and not having the manga and CDs readily available, but still wanting to write and read about the hot sexy lovin'.

So, yeah, I agree with you. Basing your love of a character off of other people's interpretations of him/her doesn't mean you "love" that character, even if you are popular for your characterization in fanfic/RPs/whatever.

iawtc, all of it. Mostly the FF7 part though. I just pretend that shit is fanfiction and go on my merry way. DoC didn't happen either.

It makes it tricky to play with characters from the two though, because I don't consider them real characters. It's like playing with an OC, or a KH character.

17) It was a love letter full of Tetsuya and suck. The "new canon" made Cloud into the huge cliche he so cleverly fell short of in the game, and like... idk, I just really didn't give a shit about the remnants or anything they did.

Also, the outfits were pretty gay.

12. ... I have to admit that I've roleplayed Jade/Nephry before. And yes, that does mean pairing-wise.

But yes, this is totally my OT4 from this game. They're actually the only characters I care about in the series, aside from Anise and MAYBE Guy.

...I kind of love how I only had to look at your icon to know which fandom you were referring. The last bits just solidified it.

I'm pretty sure a good 75% of the fandom got into it by reading the works of the 25% who were there already. >_>

RE: 9, Air Gear is pervy, but it's of the "I'm gonna be the best at *whatever* despite all obstacles! LET'S HAVE A FIGHT SCENE :D" genre more than harem. (Thinking about it, the MC has three love interests as of chapter 130-ish, which is pretty decent.)

Also, if you're a slasher? FODDER LEIK WOAH, with two canonly gay characters and tons of subtext. (The gay characters are guys, too, not girls like most shounen series would fall back on. :D )

9. DO IT. Seriously. For about three months after my friends and I watched AG, we started roller blading at the local rink, we've got our own OC's, we have (mostly) the same clothes as our OCs - IT ROCKS. I highly recommend it.

21. Haha yeah. I can't remember which puzzle it was, but there was another "simple" one that was TOO EASY to solve that most kids got stuck on. :b

3. Haha, I remember that scene. I bawled. In front of my dad. At a showing at an anime convention. But they were those silent sobs. He thought I was laughing/having a seizure until he looked at my face. Best story arc ever. I love Haku to bits. ♥
