It was an abnormal fandom - really relaxed and open, no rivalry or backstabbing going on. I was lucky.

It's been dead for a few years, though.

What fandom, if you don't mind my asking? Because the one I'm mostly in (pretty much my only fandom, really) is like that. Everyone's so nice. :)

If I named it, I'd reveal my identity (and probably get backlash for saying I was a BNF.) It was just nice knowing that all the work I did was appreciated. It isn't so much these days, and I miss that affirmation.

Ah, mine's the same way. ^^' Small fandoms are kind of annoying like that. And, yeah, it goes a long way towards making you feel good about your work. :)
