Really, it's because I liked the hypothetical idea. Just a pretend concept to play with, but I don't think they should really, actually be a couple.

Actually, no. I never liked the idea of them really being a couple because I don't see anything wrong with them being just friends. I like them as friends. It's the same as, heck, I don't know, enjoying Kim/Drakken. You might enjoy seeing the interaction just for the idea, the hypothetical chemistry. That doesn't mean you want them to REALLY hook up.
I guess I don't see what is so difficult to grasp about this concept. I feel as though I'm repeating myself over and over. Whatever. :P
