Good for you OP! I think if anything makes someone better (Okay, with some exceptions obvs, but yours is super harmless so... *tangent*) than just do it! Besides one direction is just so fun, you might as well enjoy it because THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL! ;)

I should have thought those colours through some more.... I used their Danger Days colours without thinking of Gerards weird fire-truck red hair. Very, very fail.
But no, Mikey has been accused (and it's been more or less proven, last I heard) of cheating.

I went through the same thing - I liked a lot of dark/angsty/angry sort of bands when I was a depressed teenager, but none of it really speaks to me on the same level anymore. It's nostalgic at best, but it doesn't give me the same comfort. I listen to Ke$ha and all sorts of poppy/bouncy stuff now to make my stressful situation just a bit more bearable. It happens, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. Whatever gets you through the day!

I was super into strictly rock/jrock/alternative/metal for years. Then I found Arashi (a Japanese boyband) and they made me happier than ever. Still love them, and a bunch of other "inane" pop - including 1D. Don't care whether this is socially acceptable for a 23-year-old man anymore. If it makes you happy, enjoy the shit out of it, OP!
