If the person who runs this decides they don't want rape, why does this matter?

I only think it's judgmental if they are hypocrites about it. Like, used to asks for recs of noncon and now act like they've never been that person. Which isn't what's happening here at all.

If you search for "raped" instead of "rape", you'll get plenty of results for rape, rapes, raped, raping, rapist, etc.

ffnet didn't allow rape as a search term for a while, then they reallowed it and then now I guess they aren't again. I honestly have no idea why you're judging them for it though. It's not a slight against you. and besides, you can still search for "raped" and it brings results that just contain "rape" so it's not even a big fucking deal

Exactly. This secret reminds me of assholes that look up rape, non-con and/or dubcon works, knowing they don't like works dealing with those topics, and decide to shame people over it.

Thats fanfiction.net right? I don't know why that would be, I've seen a lot of fics list that in their descriptors. AO3 still has that functionality so you can always go there if you want it, as I see it tagged quite a bit. Fanfiction.net is only really ever useful for rare-pairs i find, and even than it's kinda bottom of the barrel stuff I find. Have you tried finding a kink meme for you fandom? They may have what your looking for.

that's ff.net, right? uh, don't they ban sexually explicit fic anyway? so there's really no point. if a fic mentions rape in a non-explicit way, it's probably not doing it in a kinky fashion. and people who want rape kink probably aren't gonna find much explicit stuff there because I'm sure it's even more likely than regular explicit sex to get reported.

True. Ridiculously, despite the fact that FFNet was where a horrified-yet-fascinated 12 year old me learned a lot about weird sex for the first time, you're not technically allowed to be sexually explicit. So - and I speak as a person with a huge noncon kink, mind you - there's nothing unreasonable in them banning a word which doesn't have any connotations other than the sexually explicit.
