I'm caught between "but it's such a huge fandom with so much pretty art and probably lots of awesome fic for whatever pairing I might enjoy!" and "but I can't touch it with a ten-foot pole because it pisses me off so goddamn bad." And because of that, I want it to go away so something else that I might actually be able to enjoy fills its place.

OP is specifically NOT doing this in a way that'd make them an asshole. Not liking something isn't a reason to get upset. I feel bad for OP that they can't approach this thing without getting all angry, but they are dealing, by not approaching the thing. Why you so mad?

Seriously, though, OP, I hope you find other fandoms you like. You don't have to like Homestuck. Or if you want you could maybe try to figure out why it pisses you off so much and try to get into it...? It's really up to you and you shouldn't feel like you *have* to.
