It doesn't have to be something on the internet /o/

Ok, I'll start: I should be studying for the exams I have to take in March (long story), but I haven't even opened my texts for Anthropology II or Archaeology II, and my Sociology texts are boring to pieces. I'm mostly distracted by endless afternoons and nights of roleplaying, with a side of f5 in Tumblr.

Yup, tumblr. It's very easy to lose yourself in tumblr... like a black hole, really.

Internet, doodling, and sleep.

To study, though, I just read the passages aloud in awful accents and that seems to work well.

I draw, read and write fanfiction. IDK if it counts as "procrastinating", but it does distract me from what I'm supposed to do.

Oh, there's real procrastination: I browse the "Fanart" tag an AO3. Too bad it updates once in a hundred years.

I have to write 15,000 words for a big bang fic... by 28th Feb. I'm on 4,000 words... which is 4,000 more than I was at last week. The big bang started before December.

I'm terrible when it comes to fic. I get distracted by YouTube easily, then by music. Music is the main thing that tears me away from writing, though. It makes me want to dance too much :P

Wouldn't happen to be the Gabriel Big Bang, would it?

Usually I'm way too lazy about looking things up on YouTube, but the other day, I discovered dubstep, and it was a terrible day for productivity.

Yep, that's the one. I'm determined to get it done, though!

Haha. I'm not interested in the dubstep thing, and I hope I never do get interested. Don't need to add another distraction to the already long list.

I always procrastinate by cleaning. :) My house is never cleaner than when I really don't want to do something for a week.

Browsing through youtube, always starting with this. At least I always admit what I'm doing.

My procrastination is often research oriented. I'll think, "hey, when I get my Wii fixed I'll want some co-op online-friendly games to play with my friends"... so immediately I will do ridiculous amounts of research and take notes and aim to narrow it down to the BEST game options... hours will pass. In the end, there's a fair chance I'll never end up buying those games.

Last week I decided I needed to design and make myself a jewelry stand/rack in the shape of antlers. So I researched similar jewelry stands and used google-images to find/save a bunch of pics of antlers.

I used to be worse than I am now, though. Using time wisely has so many rewards, I'm finally learning, lol.

We got a saying in Norway: Nothing is cleaner or tidier than a students flat during exam season.

Which is pretty accurate, other than that: F!S and re-watching TV shows.

Read, play games, sometimes I draw if it's really important

Sims. Ugh. Installing Freeplay was a bad, bad, bad, Very Bad Idea.

FS, and just the internet in general. I wish cleaning was what I did to procrastinate, but usually that's what I'm procrastinating to keep from doing. :p

I usually have a LOT of tabs open in Firefox, plus a bunch in Chrome, and right now I have quite a lot open in Internet Explorer as well. Plus Thunderbird, notepad, media player, and Open Office for all that work I'm supposed to be doing. My computer slows down a lot when I have this much open, so my thinking tends to be: well, I need to do my work, but I can't with all this shit going on. I'll read through *these* tabs and shut them down, then I can get started on my work. A couple of hours later: well, it's time to eat! And it'll take me about an hour to cook and I'll be shuffling between my laptop and the stove, so I'll just check my emails. Over food: well, I'll just read some more fic till I'm finished eating, and then I'll really knuckle down! A couple of hours later: where did the time go, it's basically bedtime, isn't it? I wouldn't be able to settle into it in so little time, so I'll just read for another hour and then set my alarm for early tomorrow and work then. Four hours later: well, that'll be me sleeping through my alarms again tomorrow and waking up mid-afternoon!

Between 11ish and 2 or 3 in the morning my current procrastination method of choice is to read through the day's fs post, leave a few amusing little comments, and then refresh obsessively to see if anyone replies to them.

If I REALLY want to procrastinate I join in on the wank.

Reading fanfiction, watching cute animal videos on youtube(I swear I only ever intend to watch one or two then I blink and realise that 3 hours have gone by), and when I was at uni I would help my housemate clean the house from top to bottom.
