Agreed. Although I'm probably not as connected to it as you were/are. Still, it's gotten so bad that I can't even watch the new episodes; I just stick to the reviews and wikipedia summaries. I might watch the final episode whenever it airs, but that's it.

Yeah...marathoning that show single-handedly pulled me out of a really horrible extended mental state in the summer of 2011. Mainly, the whole idea that the show is actually set in the year 2030 and the show's treatment of and perspective on time and narrative. It was just something I really, really, really, desperately needed to hear from characters I could get emotionally invested in since RL hadn't provided me with anything like that, so even if it WAS just a goofy network comedy, it was better than nothing and it kinda became a bit special to me for those personal reasons.

Then midway through season seven, it got to the point where the inevitable happy ending wasn't worth this crap, especially as the arcs and characterization that had made it worth it in the first place were being retconned left and right. *sigh*
