Yeah, I see that too some but it's less common in the fandoms I read in. I really wasn't kidding about it being nearly every fic I read. I'm even coming across in pro published books these days, which really pisses me off since I've paid money for what's supposed to be professionally edited and it's, well, it's not imo. I'll give free passes to fanfic, but not pros.
