Anyone else worried about CAS?

I just found out about this like half an hour ago, and I care not because I pirate (well, I do, just not, you know, ALL THE TIME, maybe once every 6-9 months). I care because 1) I have Comcast, 2) it's in my name, and 3) the roommate I have that I hate downloads everything he can get his hands on.

Anyone know anything more about this? Am I freaking out prematurely? Why wasn't there a huge stink about this before? Isn't this just a precursor to a privately-run SOPA? Gah, I don't know what to do!

I only heard because someone mentioned one or two days ago here; I don't know how serious it is; I don't live in the US so I don't know what to think about it but hope it doesn't spread; and about your roommate, is there anyway to let him know or something?
