Eh, the characters go through ups and downs. Archie has deliberately two timed Betty and Veronica and has ditched both of them for each other before. Reggie also saved a drunken Betty from a bunch of disgusting frat boys before she degraded herself before them once :D They all have their angels and devils existing inside of them.

There was also that really cute comic where Reggie saved Betty from getting hit by a semi, and they started going steady for awhile. It made me ship Reggie/Betty. ._.
