I hate to break it to you, but liking a character because you find their voice aesthetically pleasing does not make you less shallow than liking them because you find their body aesthetically pleasing.

But... the way I read the secret, the person wasn't saying that at all. They were saying that the elitist/uppity fans shouldn't get uppity/elitist over Kankurou fans who only became Kankurou fans due to voice acting/fanservice or whatever.

Oh? I guess I read it wrong. It's just that the poster became a Kankuro fan because of his voice, and they seem to be saying that this is less fanbratty than being a fan of him because he's hot...just what it looked like to me. *shrug*

Mm. I interpreted it more as them just being irked at purist Kankurou fans for looking down on any other fans. So XD INTERPRETATIONZ FTW?

Basically, I'm not to verbal about my favorites in fandom. But just because I started to say how much Kankuro needs love and that I'm a fan I'm suddenly one of the "OMG SHIRTLESS MAKEUP LESS BISH KANKY!!!" fans? D:

Ummmm, that's not what I meant. At all.

But since it seems like you interpenetrated it differently, I'll sum it up. :D

Elitist Kankuro fans that hiss at regular Kankuro fans suck. I liked him BEFORE his "shirt off yey!" scene. Just because I didn't show up RIGHT WHEN Kishimoto introduced the character doesn't mean I am one of the "shirt off yey!" fans.

I also luff his dub voice, and in most elitist fan eyes dub = HOMG FROTHING EBIL.
