I like your screen name.

And yes, I of course, once thought I was bi. Heaven forbid, right? Well yeah anyways I think it's just a thing a lot of girls go though. Of course some of them really do turn out to be a lesbian but I think the majority are just sexually experimenting.

Or they turn out discovering they're bi, like I did. There are real bisexuals out there, you know. It's the fake poser bis that give real bis a bad name. Biphobia stinks. There's nothing like being told your sexuality doesn't exist to put a real shine on your day. *sighs*

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
You wanna know a secret? I'm bi, too. :] I fell in love with a girl for a few years but I am dating a boy now. I think love is love regardless of their gender. Because physical appearances isn't supposed to matter, right? Boys and girls are equally beautiful.
lexicalcrow: (chas flag star)

You're all human. Anything beyond that doesn't matter. Love is love. SHouldn't we be celebrating love wherever it is rather than trying to limit who's allowed to have it, as if love is a tangible object they make in China or something? Surely love is a thing of worth we should value in society, not shut it out and turn it into an exclusivity club.

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Very well put. I wish more people shared that view. But I suppose all great movements take time, right?
lexicalcrow: (Adorable Qantas ad Chris)

[personal profile] lexicalcrow 2007-09-06 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I suppose they do. And by the looks of things, we've still got a long way to go. *sighs*

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Well at least it's progress. Better this than nothing I think.
lexicalcrow: (My Parent and Beloveds)

[personal profile] lexicalcrow 2007-09-06 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Very true. Slow progress is better than no progress. We'll get there, eventually.

I used to believe that, and while I continue to believe people can fall in love with anyone, sex is a big part of relationships and sexuality in that regard is a BIG factor. I've had sex with men, and I've had sex with women, and I can tell you pretty easily which was consistently better even when it was bad.

I'm not a fandom lesbian; I'm a lesbian who is occasionally in fandom (but mostly sits back wtfing at it).

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well yes, but I think men and women are both sexual and I guess I find them both sexually appealing. I've never had sex with anyone so I don't really know what I prefer, but I think if you love them enough you will enjoy the sex with them anyways. I'm not sure though, obviously never having been through this.

I'm not even in fandom. :/ I used to be but it died.

[identity profile] kinneas.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
I loved an ex-boyfriend of mine. He was wonderful, and I still miss him to this day. It didn't make the sex any better, though. I'm not expert, and if i love another man, I'll not deny him because zomg women only, but for now I'm relatively confident in my views.

My fandom as I knew it died 8D Final Fantasy VII.

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
:/ Hmmm. I have no idea really. I suppose it's idealistic to think sex with someone you love is better? Haha, oh well. I lieks girls but I lieks boys too. It really depends on who they are specifically. Though I would tap Scarlett Johanson regardless, zhomg.

Haha, all good fandoms must go out of style eventually. I just got too busy and then too lazy. XD;' Yay for laziness!

[identity profile] kinneas.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
I would hit Scarlett Johansson like the fist of an angry god. And to love!sex's defense, it really does help. I felt a lot less awkward with him than other men simply because we were emotionally so much closer, but it didn't feel as right.

VII fandom didn't die; it exploded with stupid.

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahaha. Scarlett Johanson is something special. But yeah, if it doesn't feel right then you know something is off. All of my relationships have been sex-free thus far, but you never know. I could turn out either ways.

:( So did... um, well nevermind. Naruto was always kind of exploding with stupid. I just ignored it for a while.

[identity profile] iamadoughnut.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Danke.

I think the majority are just sexually experimenting

Right, and there's no law against that. I think part of the problem is that we're pressured to know (boys and girls and others alike) our sexual identities at an age when a lot of people are terribly confused. I kind of wish there was less emphasis on picking a label, particularly for teenagers. Like, people, it's totally okay to say, "Hey, I'm trying some stuff out right now to figure out what's right for me."

[identity profile] chronophobe.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, definitely. I rolled around with girls and guys for a few years, I just told people I didn't know. But honestly so many people were asking if I was BI OR LESBIAN OR STRAIGHT it was ridiculous.
