23. Um, no. Mode of dress =/= gender identity, sry2say. I dress (and often act) like Haruhi and am fully female. And not all cross-dressers are transgendered.

Um, yeah, not exactly unfamiliar with the topic, thanksomuch, you don't need to prove your Internets cred.

I know shit about dick about the show, however, and the secret made the character sound more genderqueer than like some girl who wears boy-clothes, ooh, how transgressive (or, y'know, not).

Well, I'd say that Haruhi is genderless, considering that she really doesn't cares about what she wears and what others percieve her as. I mean, most girls would be a bit disturbed about going through their intire highschool life as a male, when they're females, yet Haruhi not only does that, she also changes back into female when necessary (and by necessary, I mean when she's dragged into some crazy idea by the other characters).
