but as others have pointed out elsewhere, people of like mind and interests tend to congregate together. that usually also indicates acceptance, probably more so than the very real world shows.

throw your statistics away. you can't apply the "10% gay in the real world" to online fandom. or anything else. if you go to Greenwich Village, I can guarantee you'll find the percentage of gay people around you is significantly higher.
