14. At least you recognize it's homophobic.

22. I'm playing Hairspray right now <33 My cousin's besties with Harvey Fierstein, so we got house seats in the original cast production. It was incredible, and I <33 Broadway.

No, it's not homophobic. Homophobic would be "because I hate gay guys." She just can't see the Harry Potter characters being gay. Do I think it's a bit... harsh to judge? Yes. But homophobia is not something you accuse someone of lightly.

Excuse me, but I'm not accusing lightly. Homophobia is not necessarily the hostile hatred of homosexuals, and people tend to forget that. There are heterosexual characters in HP that I would have to be a complete moron to believe she doesn't ship or at least support at all, and that she considers any HOMOSEXUAL pairings to be a "perversion" is a pretty blatant discrimination.

Hetersoexuality in HP is okay, but homosexuality is weird? That, friend, is homophobia.

To be fair, heterosexuality IS canon in HP, homosexuality is not. Homosexuality could therefore be construed as "weird" because it's not presented in the series...

Except HP takes place in the modern-day world, OUR world, and as such homosexuality must exist even if not presented. It is certainly NOT CANON and can be considered weird because of that, but to consider it weird BECAUSE it is homosexual is a homophobic and discriminating attitude.
