I like the teams equally, but what I find interesting about PoT is that unlike Slam Dunk, Dear Boys, Eyeshield21, and the other sports anime I've seen is that Seigaku IS a powerhouse right from the getgo, and they don't have to endure the scorn and derision from their rivals the way Shohoku, Mizuho, and the Devilbats did. Part of the fun is seeing Seigaku take on Rikkai and Hyotei as equals...wouldn't it be boring and cliche to sit through totallyevil!Atobe and crew versus a bunch of ragtag Seigaku players who had to band together and learn to be a team in order to win?

'Sides, between TeniMyu, CinePuri, the manga, hundreds of anime episodes, OAVs, radio broadcasts, and gobs of merchandise there's enough room in the PoT fandom for everyone. :P
