If we can count individual books in a series as "episodes": The Last Battle from The Chronicles of Narnia, a.k.a. the one that is basically an adaptation of the Book of Revelation with unicorns and talking apes.

Love the other six books, haaaaaate that one.

It's terrible! I basically only remember that much because I only read it once, but there's a reason I reread the others to pieces and never touched that one again.

A brief summary of what happened: After 150 pages of reminders that non-Christians are evil people who deserve to have bad things happen to them, Narnia is destroyed and everyone dies, but it's OK because they all get to go to heaven (except for Susan, who survived the accident that killed the rest of her family and is now all alone on Earth).

Yeah, that was my reaction too when I first read the book as a kid.

C.S. Lewis, what were you thinking?

Ugh, yeah. I always thought the handwave about Susan's ultimate fate was bullshit, even as a little kid. I loved the idea of all the main Narnia humans meeting up again, but that was about it.

You forgot to add that it is a bad adaptation of Revelation. And don't get me started on the whole crucifixion worship in a children's book that makes the Mel Gibson movie look like MLP:FiM.

Lewis was a haranguing Anglican Bible-thumper though, so there's really no escaping it.

Me too. :( I hate the way Susan's character is treated in that book.

I felt so betrayed by that book as a kid.
