Whole shows? F!S should know my answer by now: DS9 season 7, of course. It has moments. It could be improved. But since they didn't, it's an extremely frustrating season (particularly in comparison to the greatness of the previous seasons) and some characters end their arcs on very unsatisfying notes. Not all of them, but still.

Fringe season 5 is a borderline example. It also has moments, and they play a lot on themes established in the first 4... but the changes are pretty big. Especially demoting Nina and Broyles to guest star. :( I dunno. S4 ends the series on a more satisfying note for me. There's very few episodes of S5 I feel I'll rewatch multiple times. There's only so many times a show can rewrite its own timelines (TWO bad futures that end up never happening? Really, Fringe?) before even the most loyal fans start to grate.

Also, I wanted two things out of S5 and I didn't get either: First of all, MORE ASTRID! Then when it started and it was all in the "Letters of Transit" verse, I wanted a detailed explanation of what Bell was doing when he was ambered with Peter, Walter, and Astrid. They used up their Nimoy allotment for the S4 finale, or what? We know the Observers removed Simon's head from the amber in the same room. Why the hell did they not remove Bell too? Or if they did, why wasn't that a plot point?

Silence. There was no season 7. It never happened.

I think it could have been salvaged. I love them spending more time with Weyoun and Damar, I like Ezri overall, Section 31 is ok, and I like where certain characters ended up. For the most part, the conclusion of the Dominion War is ok. It's just not up the standard of the previous seasons.
