Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once More with Feeling. I know everyone loves it and I do enjoy it, but I hate the whole 'Xander summoned Sweet' thing. It just felt like such a sloppy way to wrap up the plot and it made no sense to me character-wise, since he had a whole episode way back in season 2 that was basically 'don't fuck with magic.'

I also never liked Giles sending Buffy after Sweet alone, it just seemed like a really stupid move that needlessly endangered both Buffy's life and Dawn's, rather than him wanting her to 'stand on her own' or whatever the fuck that reason was supposed to be. Again, it felt like a weak way of getting the cast split up so they could reunite during the big group sing. In general I really like the musical but I also tend to feel that it's actually a bit of a weak episode, story-wise, and if the music part wasn't so good it wouldn't be half as well-loved as it is.

I've heard a fan theory that he was taking responsibility either to sacrifice himself or because he knew Sweets wouldn't take a male bride. I like to think of it that way.

Uuuuugh, I don't like Xander in general, but I haaaaaate him in "Once More With Feeling". Innocent people died! Random people on the street danced until they combusted! And he says nothing.

Buffy's sister is kidnapped and is about to be forced to marry the demon! He says nothing.

Buffy almost commits musical suicide! He says nothing.

At the absolute last possible moment, he pipes up. How many people have died!?!?! God i fucking hate Xander so damn much!

...That rant was clearly a while coming.
