Doctor Who, The God Complex. Completely brilliant up to the last ten minute, then it was time for the most wtf characterization ever, the dumbest example of telling instead of showing ever, the Doctor dumping the Ponds without their say in the matter and running off like a coward, and a shitty Curse of Fenric rip-off that turned a sublimely ironic "believing in things keeps you safe, but in this one very specific circumstance events have conspired so that believing in things is gonna get us all screwed" to "believing in things will only bring you disappointment and will always get you eaten by a woodland monster, so don't believe in anything ever". Not to mention implying the Doctor would be better off dead, which is almost as big a load as the moral.

And I'm sorry, I didn't buy what the episode tried to tell me about Amy's belief in the Doctor for a second. She hasn't been waiting for him or hero-worshiping him like that since "then what is the point of you?" way back in "Amy's Choice".
