I don't think Mary is horrible, but I do think she's a textbook primer in people with enormous privilege who still think they have the hardest life in the whole world. She sees herself as very sharp an honest, and she is in a way, but she's sensationally naive in her bubble. Edwardian Gwyneth Paltrow.

I quite like that about her, though I don't think TPTB do it on purpose.
