It's not "like" that. That is what they are doing. It is intentional. Like most open source software, it's designed with users who know how to fix the code themselves in mind.

lol, what? No, the idea of open source is not that the vast majority of end users will be working on the code themselves.

However, a lot of open source/free software operates under the idea that it doesn't need to be easy to learn, it needs to be easy to use once you have the hang of it. Of course one could argue whether that's a good prioritisation.
