It really is such a shame that the author went down that route. Oh well, there's always Yotsuba&! And if you haven't read it, My Girl by Mizu Sahara is similiar to Usagi Drop, but without the creepyness. It's absolutely heartwarming.

First anon!

Absolutely adore Yotsuba&! and I'll have to check out My Girl, then! Perhaps we should have a cutesy slice of life recommendations in general comments?

Yotsuba&! is the absolute perfect blend of slice of life, comedy, and heartwarming. Yotsuba is so damn adorable! So full of life and wonder that she's absolutely infectious. It's what I read whenever I'm feeling down and need to be cheered up.

Oh, I'd like that! However, I'm afraid I wouldn't any other recs, anon. Haven't read much manga as of late and most of what I read isn't slice of life. I'd love some recs though!

Yeah, you're definitely right about that! Yotsuba&! was the first manga I ever bought. Still one of my favorites.

Made the thread, by the way! You should totes echo the recs you've made here.

Ditto! It was one of the first slice of life manga that I read, so it's got a special place in my heart. It's definitely one of my top favorite manga.

Already did! I said it in the other thread, but I'll say it again. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks, wayward anon! I'm sure I'll enjoy a bunch! :D!

You're welcome! Happy to help! :3

Azumanga Daioh! By the creator of Yotsuba!

Granted, it's HS, and there's the one super creepy male teacher, but everything else is perfection.

backing this rec up, Azumanga Daioh is super adorable.

Thirded. And the creepy teacher is meant to come across as creepy, so his scenes are bearable.
