I don't know if it's really...cutesy exactly (though the characters are adorable) but I liked Sakamichi No Apollon (or Kids on the Slope on crunchyroll) a lot

Apparently K-On! is good? I have no idea, I haven't watched it, but opinions range from madly in love to bored to tears.

However, Working!! is funny and adorable.

Rec'd this in the other thread, but might as well post it here too. If anyone's looking for something similar to Usagi Drop but without the creepyness, then you should check out My Girl by Mizu Sahara. It's simply adorable and heartwarming. Everything that Usagi Drop should have been, imo.

Seconding the Yotsuba&! rec.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawaitteiru.

It's a manga series, and by any objective measure it does a lot of the same things that moeblob series do. But somehow reading it doesn't make me want to kill myself. Also, it has a bit of a morbid streak and a bit of weirdness to it that really make it a lot more interesting to me.

Erg, the relevant piece of information here isn't that it's a manga series. It's that it's a maid series.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if I'm crazy for liking it. Because it should be bad by any objective measure.
