lol. Yeah. I guess I just tend to gravitate towards shows with more female characters? Obviously Downton has a lot. And other shows I watch are: Buffy, Friday Night Lights, Community, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Doctor Who, A Song of Ice and Fire, Battlestar Galactica... yeah. I guess I just don't see as many of these shows or books or whatever that don't have great female characters because most of the media I consume DOES have a lot of fabulous women.

yeah i generally think there are a lot of great female characters out there. but in the scope of things, it doesn't even compare to how many great male characters there are, so maybe op is just being blinded by that.
