Well, I guess I was just wondering what options/features are available in Photoshop that aren't in Gimp.

Layer effects.

Among other things. My partner lost his cracked PS when he upgraded his OS, and tried using Gimp for a while for scanlating and absolutely hated it. Trying to do anything he was used to took much longer, was much less intuitive, and didn't look as good (if he could get it to work at all).

Photoshop is hardly intuitive.

That said, Gimp does have a learning curve. On the other hand, I'd be really surprised if there were really things it couldn't do that photoshop can that there's a high demand for, because if there was such a thing...

... it would be implemented.
