Re: anon

mekkio was making a point that anons would make assumptions about other anons. since the anon was making an assumption about a user with a name and history, anon actually disproved mekkio's point, which was that having everybody anon would make things worse. in actuality things would not change, because whether a person is posting anon or with an identity, this group of people we have here like to make assumptions about each other, regardless of whether their target is posting with an identity or anon.

Exactly. I do ship Sirius/Remus, just a little bit, but that's not why I don't like the pairing.

Moe shows tend to have very few to no male characters, mostly because male characters might interfere with audience fap fantasies. Also, most moe shows make their money through merchandising and male characters don't sell well. I guess it's possible to read that stuff as misandry, even though it's less man-hating and more like...male indifference to fictional males? I dunno.

I'm so glad it's not.

I like being able to form an identity here and make friends. I like having people who I recognize and can come back to talk to. I like having local characters who make the place more colorful and feel more like a community.

This place would get so dull. Or it would be entertaining for the wrong reasons. And plodding through it would get so annoying.

Oh, and I wouldn't be able to track anything using my email. That would be a big pain.

ayrt Maybe I should have said "if I was looking for a relationship"? Which I am not, so being "attracted" to people is not something that even crosses my mind when I meet or interact with people.

You... don't seem to understand how emotion and desire actually work.

Re: anon

I presume mekkio's point was that EVERYONE makes assumptions about each other regardless of accounts. Specifically saying that anons will make assumptions about other anons.

That fact that one anon was willing to make an assumption of a user strengthens their point.

My presumption is mekkio supports users posting because at least it isn't a completer clusterfuck.

Since Ten&Donna and Clint&Natasha have already been mentioned, I'll throw in Jack Carter and Jo Lupo from Eureka.

Huh? Weren't you the one saying that we can control if we want to be attracted? And isn't homosexuality the attraction to the same sex...?

For some reason I read your title as "Me-sah wants some scifi recs", Star Wars style.

So, since everyone else has already addressed the weird-ass sex position being portrayed here (look at her hand, what's going on), and the fine ass on display, I have one question for the OP.

Do you miss the couple, or do you miss the sex? Because something tells me you could've probably found a legit picture of them together without the sex. Not that it matters, just trying to get some perspective.

You can ALL be the token anon.

You're like...the f!s apartment complex's cat. With ever-changing faces, but always the same cat.

Yeah, but nobody recognized her, so he probably used his Loki shapeshifting powers to look different somehow.

Re: Is it wrong...

[personal profile] insanenoodlyguy 2013-03-01 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
No, your logic does take us there. If you can look at a person and can decide if they are attractive or not simply because you do or do not want to be attracted to them, you could change your sexuality at will by deciding "I will/wont like this gender!"

Of course, you also said attraction means you somehow can't control acting on it... so you are either a troll or a moron.

Re: Can someone please explain to me

[personal profile] chardmonster 2013-03-01 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Basically a lot of them you see on the internet (obviously not all) are emotionally immature.

"How dare this sad event make me sad, I should only have emotions of my own choosing."

Melodrama is worth criticizing but when the criticism revolves around how they did not like feeling an emotion you're dealing with one of the adultkids.

Seconding all the books by Tanith Lee! They might be a little hard to find, but they are so worth it.
