I am not the poster you're refering to. And yes, child molestation IS terrible, but you don't seem to be getting what I'm saying. Are you being deliberatly obtuse? are you just trolling me here? Tell me honeslty, are you a male? or do you just like to see discussions of feminism derailed?

Going ahead as if you genuinly don't get it (against my better judgment)

Some children will be sexually or physically abused by males in their time, and being innocent, as you say, they do not in any way deserver it. It is a tragedy.

Most women will be sexuall abused by males in their time, nearly all women will be physically and emotionally abused. even the really lucky women will, the very least, will be made to suffer in a million small or large ways by males day in day out. How can you not see what is the worse problem facing the world?

Some of these children are males themselves, but being children don't deserve it (I'm really not saying they do) but these males will grow up. in this world that acts like the above treatment of woman is ok. they will reap the rewards of a society that protects them and supports the abuses they will commit. They start out innocent, but, weather their victims or not, they will grow into their place in this world regardless. That is why it's not as bad. not ok, not acceptable, just not as bad as misogyny.

Can you at last see what I'm trying to show you?

Right? I could understand Joe dying for reasons like 'The actor left the show even though it got renewed' or 'There are storylines we want to explore without the actor', but it was the last episode. Why?

But worst of all was the 'happy ending!' patch put on the end. Three girls grew up without their loving father. If you're not going to treat that as the wrenchingly painful devastation of someone's life that it is, don't do it at all. But nope, 'They re-united in the afterlife! So it's not a sad ending after all, you see?'

Ah, that makes more sense. I thought maybe you meant people bashed Spartacus or ignored him altogether, which I just can't wrap my head around because he's so awesome! I definitely get not writing him because he's too well-written/explored in canon (I've done that with various characters and pairings). I think it's hard to ship him with anyone because the show ships him so well with Sura that you just feel bad trying to put him with anyone else, which would result in the lack of fic.

See, that's one of the reasons I haven't sought out Season 2 yet. Andy!Spartacus was just so darn perfect that I'm not sure I want to see anyone else in the role, though I'm sure Liam is really, really good (though I hear they downsize his role in Season 2? Or so I heard?)

Well, it's good to see some canon couples getting some love, which is rare in fandom. Side characters tend to get lots of fic because it's easier to just make up fanon and headcanon about them. And canon slash is always a good hook for fic. Though I'm weird and just wanted a lot of Lucretia/Ilithyia frenemy!sex.
