Have you ever fallen out of love with a show, then back in love?
(Anonymous) 2013-03-01 12:23 am (UTC)(link)Come to think of it, has this ever happened with a character or pairing or a particular episode or storyline either?

10 was pretty good though.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-01 01:03 am (UTC)(link)Also, Buffy. I fell out of love with season seven, refused to rewatch the other seasons for long, long (sad) years, but then I saw an episode on TV and decided to rewatch it once again. I loved every single episode, this time. Ah, Buffy! <3

(Anonymous) 2013-03-01 01:04 am (UTC)(link)Then I started to hate Naruto (every single minor character getting a sob story flashback in the middle of their fight before dying, recycled motivations and plots, plot holes, too many characters, I started disliking the art), and stopped reading.
I glutted myself on FMA for awhile, then idled back over to Bleach after coming across a couple good fanfics. I realized it wasn't that bad, and actually I really like Kubo's art style and the characters, and fell in love with it again and voraciously caught up on everything I'd missed.
After catching up I started reading the new chapters each week, which eventually lead to starting up reading the new Naruto as well. For a couple months I just eye rolled all the time, but the last few chapters have been interesting and I think I might be coming around to it again.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-01 04:54 am (UTC)(link)I think House is the only show I loved, stopped watching, started watching again, loved (this was thanks largely to Anne Dudek and the Survivor-type storyline,) hated again, stopped watching again. I'm pretty good about pulling the plug on shows that piss me off or just plain bore me.
More mildly, I spent most of 30 Rock's third season sort of disliking Liz/Tina for reasons I could never put my finger on. I was terrified it would turn me off the show, which was one of my absolute favorites for the entirety of its run (other than the first few very shaky episodes) but just as mysteriously, come the fourth season, I loved Liz/Tina again just as much as ever, if not more than before.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-01 07:32 am (UTC)(link)The Sopranos. I watched the show years after it ended and I was really into it. But near the end of the fourth season I began feeling a little disinterested. I only got a few episodes into the sixth season before giving up on the show. I never finished it. But just a few weeks ago I caught an episode on HBO and I thought, "Damn, this show was really good, maybe I should finish it." So I probably will in the next month.
Re: Have you ever fallen out of love with a show, then back in love?
I stopped watching Supernatural twice, first during season five and then during season six, only to start watching it again pretty randomly and getting sucked back in.
I lost interest in Fringe a couple times. Not to the point where I stopped watching, but to the point where I'd multitask or channel surf when it was on, and didn't mind if I missed some things. But then I got back into it more, and I grew to really love the plots in the other universe (even though I was initially uninterested in those versions of the characters).
Re: Have you ever fallen out of love with a show, then back in love?
I literally did not watch another episode for three or four months. But I came back for the episode where Ryan was getting married, and for some reason, instead of just watching that episode, I went back and watched from where I left off.
And yeah, the episodes that were all about the Caskett secrets and lies were stupid and I hate them, the others were still awesome. But this was about the time that I started watching more for Ryan and Esposito than anything to do with Castle and Beckett or the cases. Though, I will say Castle and Beckett are growing on me again now that we're through all crap.
