I'm actually not sure about that, seeing as how it's the Paralympic Games. But either way, the secret is about a murder trial -- I just feel that some respect should be shown.

Whoa, wait just a second! My comment was referencing the fact that the majority of people only care about the regular Olympics -- that, along with other reasons, made me think that a fandom was unlikely.

It kinda pisses me off that you make such assumptions about me, especially seeing how I'm not exactly able-bodied myself.

No, I honestly can't. Maybe it's because English is my third language, I don't know -- but I don't think my comment indicates that at all. And even if it did, I think people should show common decency and LAY OFF after getting an explanation saying it was all a misunderstanding. I'm truly upset about this, but I guess a lot of people find that to be great fun.

You're overlooking the part where the guy wasn't just in the Paralympics, but the motherfucking Summer Olympics. It was pretty big fucking news. People who didn't give a rat's ass about the Olympics knew there was a double-amputee running. But of course it doesn't count because he was in the Paralympics...

You're presuming they knew that. Previously disabled people were not allowed to compete, to my knowledge. It's a reasonable thing to think, especially if you don't really follow the Olympics.

People who didn't give a rat's ass about the Olympics knew there was a double-amputee running.

I didn't, until I heard about him killing someone. I do not pay attention to the Olympics.

No disabled people are allowed to compete, and have before Oscar Pistorious ever did. He make headlines because he's the first double amputee to do so.

So, 'your knowledge' is wholly incorrect. What the fuck, why would disabled people not be allowed?
