And changing up my hairstyle sounds like a good idea! Do you have any recommendations for hair a bit less than shoulder length? I was thinking about getting it cut a bit shorter in the back? Would this be a good idea?

DA - I would advise against foundation because it's really unhealthy for your skin. It's ok for occasional use, particularly photographs, but you shouldn't use it daily.

To be fair, if you don't have a lot of skincare problems you don't really need foundation.

A good option for foundation is BB creams. I personally love the Korean brand Missha. It helps even up my skintone, especially since my skin is prone to breakouts.

OP!

I still have some minor acne, but I'm succesfully working on clearing it up. (Some face cleansers and acne medicine.) Always been hesitant on make-up because it makes my skin breakout, so I'll definitely check out those BB creams you mentioned.

(And to the anon above you, definitely won't wear foundation everyday. Just need to learn how to use it, haha.)

Late to this but OP, I totally second the BB cream rec. :) I have pretty clear skin that is also a bit sensitive so I very very rarely wear foundation because I don't really need to and I don't want to screw with my skin. BUT! I recently started wearing a daily BB cream and it makes my face absolutely glow -- with no ill effects so far! My skin has actually never looked better, IMO.

The site that kluify posted (and other similar virtual hairstyle sites) are an excellent help for finding a suitable hairstyle, since it depends so much on the shape of your face and the thickness of your hair. If you upload your picture and try out different alternatives, I'm sure you'll find a couple that will look good on you.
